WMRC Membership is conducted annually, generally in September and October for renewals. New members are invited to join any time throughout the year. The Membership Application Form requests information and outlines how the membership payment can be made.
Every Spring WMRC hosts an Open House Spring Show at its Royal Canadian Charleswood Legion location in the Tank Room. Open to the public at no charge it is an opportunity for WMRC members to enter contests for model and photography. There are several Forms that can be downloaded.

MODEL Contest
There are two documents to download and complete. There are six categories for the Model Contest: Rolling Stock, Motive Power, Structures, Displays, Module and Annual Special Event.
Each Model contest Entry Form also requires a Model Contest Judging Score Sheet to be attached for submission.
Download both, fill them in online with Adobe Acrobat Reader, and print them for submission with your model entry.
MODULE Contest
The Module contest is a unique category. Several WMRC members belong to other model railroad clubs that use modules. One of them that has several WMRC members is No. 1 Northern. This Contest, making its introduction for the 2026 April Spring Show, allows members to show off their prowess of module construction. The Module Contest allows participants to display their modues as separate items or in conjunction with their club's layout operation at the Spring Show.
